On 12th February Essex County Council announced the council tax for 2008/09 at 4.2%. This is the second lowest increase in council tax since the tax was introduced in 1993 and reaffirms Essex County Council's determination to keep Council Tax as low as possible, whist improving frontline services to residents.
The flood alleviation scheme for Sible Hedingham will be officially opened on 18th June 2008

Major new Highways initiative to be launched shortly to deal with potholes in roads. Watch this space!
